Uluru Base walk and rap up

on Thursday morning we were up early to do the base walk at Uluru. All participated and we set off with perfect tassie style weather. The walk was truly magnificent, full of rock art and hidden water holes and much laughter. It was truly a spectacular way to end our holiday.

On Saturday we packed up early and spent the rest of our morning playing cricket. You’ll notice in our photos young Darcey and his brothers, their family followed us all the way from Kings Canyon and the young fellas adopted our kids as their travel buddies and even visited us at meal times most nights!

We then used the remainder of our grant money to have a group lunch at the pioneer inn and then made our way to the airport. A few flight changes and lots of donuts later we made it home to our families, tired but still feeling very blessed for the past two weeks of friendship and fun.

On behalf of the NT staff I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all parents for trusting your students to us for the past two weeks. This group of young people were outstanding in every respect and an absolute pleasure to take away. We feel truly blessed as teachers to have been part of this journey.

To our travellers, thanks for the memories. We had a ball.

More photos to come.
